How will you make an impact?
The Middletown site manufactures in vitro diagnostic reagents, controls and calibrators, which are used in conjunction with clinical diagnostic instrumentation.
What will you do?

  • Provide financial and analytical support to Middletown by preparing, consolidating, and analyzing various reports for both operations and financial management.
  • Responsible for tracking scrap costs including creation of scrap tickets, distributing to responsible authorizing parties, following through to completion, and preparing related reports.
  • Research and resolve inventory errors by investigating transaction history in ERP system. Pro-actively notify the Quality Control Department when significant errors are found, and coordinate and inform value stream managers of findings affecting the operations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse team to manage cycle count process and monthly inventory accuracy reports.
  • Perform finance cycle counts for verification and internal auditing.
  • Assist with set-up/maintenance of customer pricing files.
  • Participate in month end closing processes, including creation/entry of journal entries, and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Responsible for analyzing cost center spending vs budget and investigates variances.
  • Participate in creation of AOP plan.
  • Assist with cost accounting as needed to establish standard costs of products and review cost impact of changes orders. Also provide analysis of MUV, PPV, and other variances.
  • Assist Financial Shared Service Team in solving problems or capturing information in various areas such as cash, accounts payable, fixed assets and intercompany netting reconciliations.
  • Participate in practical process improvement (PPI) projects to ensure that financial and SOX controls are met and participate in internal audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
How will you get there?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience and cost experience required (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
