How will you make an impact?
The Scientist is responsible for independently supporting product transfer and validation activities. Provide technical support for methods development, procedures and processes requiring evaluation and judgment Perform process validation studies, including shipping and stability studies ensuring that the resulting finished products meet safety, quality, and manufacturability requirements through a robust design control process.
What will you do?
- Provide technical support for methods development, procedures and processes requiring evaluation and judgment
- Drive completion of transfer documents and product BOMs
- Perform manufacturing process optimization and testing procedures on routine and non-routine production work using a variety of equipment and instrumentation
- Prepare new and update existing procedures
- Demonstrate good cross functional working relationship
- Demonstrate good flexibility with changes to working environment and deliver high quality results
- Perform, design troubleshooting experiments independently to support complex issues
- Communicate to peers in a timely fashion
- Compile, analyze data, and compose reports as required for product issues and projects
- Support commercial product non-conformances by writing OOS plan, report, Issue review and CAPA investigation

Education
- BS in a Scientific discipline
Experience
- 3 years diagnostic industry experience
Knowledge, skills, abilities
- Knowledge of ERP systems and document control systems
- Hands-on experience in Medical Device manufacturing with basic working knowledge of FDA QSR, IVD and ISO 13485
- Demonstrated ability for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, problem solving skills, collaboration with other departments
- Ability to present and communicate (oral and written) information in a clear manner
- Experience in computer skills such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in preparing manufacturing documents including SOPs, specification sheets and worksheets
- Experience in manufacturing, product transfer or product support functions
- Experience in the use of statistical programs
- Good understanding of Design Control elements
Compensation and Benefits: The salary range estimated for this position is $89,900 -$137,300. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
