Trailer Technician - Thermo King West
About the Role:
Thermo King West is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician with welding/fabrication skills and trailer repair experience. Whether you have MIG/TIG expertise or military repair training, we want you to join our team and help us maintain and repair trailers to the highest standards!
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform MIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel; TIG welding is a plus.
- Iron Work: Execute structural repairs and modifications to trailers.
- Trailer Maintenance: Install and rivet parts on refrigerated and dry freight trailers, perform axle alignments, and replace suspension components.
- Electrical & Air Brake Systems: Diagnose and repair lighting systems and perform air brake overhauls (adjust, replace components).
- Rail Gate Repairs: Adjust platforms and controls; replace cylinders, motors, and relays.
- Inspections: Perform PM, BIT, and DOT inspections.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of hands-on trailer repair experience.
- MIG/TIG welding experience.
- Military repair training is highly desirable.
- Trailer body repair experience is a strong plus.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour (DOE).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
