Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles and industrial equipment, including trucks, trailers, forklifts, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, such as engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform body work repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in truck maintenance and repair, preferably within a fleet setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in various types of vehicles and equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, electrical systems, and other components of industrial equipment.
- Ability to align wheels and perform basic alignment procedures.
- Experience working with tractor-trailers is a plus.
- Certification or degree in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
This position is for a 1099 employee. We offer a Monday-Friday work schedule. Service trucks are provided, ensuring you are covered under our insurance. Please note that we conduct extensive background checks, drug testing, and MVR checks as part of our hiring process.
