A Day in the Life
This role involves leading a dedicated team, managing complex data projects, and ensuring the flawless execution of data strategies. It requires balancing hands-on technical tasks with strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, software developers, and data mapping experts, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Data Infrastructure & Architecture
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and architectures. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Project Management
Manage multiple data solutions projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities. Apply project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on project status to collaborators.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends in data engineering. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve data processing efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- 7 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Established skills in building and supervising large-scale data infrastructure and ETL processes.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic, Python, C#, SQL, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure - Fabric) and related services.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and manage developers for full stack application development.
