Position Summary

This is a role for someone looking to build long term relationships and a long-lasting reputation within the industry. Within this role, you will directly manage a customer base of partner distributors & OEM partners. You will be expected to build relationships high, deep, and wide within your customer base, all the while looking for and managing business opportunities & sales pipeline. Ultimately, your role is to continue expanding Thermoid's market share & operational profit within the Southeast.

This is a remote role; however, we prefer the ideal candidate to reside in the SE Territory in one of the following cities : Atlanta, Charlotte, Birmingham, Nashville, or Columbia, SC. All applicants should reside near a major airport.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to travel as needed, often being away from home several days consecutively.
  • You will be expected to engage with your customers at all levels. You should know how to engage with CEO's & General Managers down to purchasing managers and field sales personnel.
  • You will be expected to keep up with industry trends and competitive intel as it relates to our product category.
  • While we aren't overly datacentric, you will be expected to report weekly interactions, and manage your opportunity pipeline.
  • This candidate should feel comfortable with crafting professional customer presentations, etc. using Microsoft suite of product. i.e., Excel, PPT, Word.
  • You should expect and drive to provide product / sales trainings with your distributor partners on a regular basis. Therefore, you should be comfortable presenting in front of large groups.

Experience and Education Required

  • 5 or more years in an industrial sales, technical sales or product management role
  • Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated decision making and strategic account management.
  • Advanced skill with all MS Office products
  • Analytical- Must be able to analyze customer business trends and drive action to course correct.
  • Professional- Must demonstrate the ability to represent our organization at the highest level.
  • Communication- Must demonstrate a high degree of both written and oral communication and be comfortable in either virtual or in-person settings.
  • Business Owner- We're looking for someone who will treat this as their own business. You'll be expected to recommend and implement intelligent business decisions based on revenue, margin, profit, and competitive edge.
  • Self-Motivated- We don't micromanage...in fact, we expect that if we're driven to that point...we have the wrong person in the seat. You must be self-motivated to succeed and demonstrate complete ownership of your role.
  • Commitment to improve- We're looking for someone with a desire to learn and improve their skillset every day.
  • Relationship Builder- We're looking for someone who is eager to build long-term & meaningful relationships with colleagues, customers, and industry leaders.
  • Travel Required

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to travel regularly up to 50% of the time
