Litigation paralegal
THEVOZ & Partners, Law Firm, PLLC is an international boutique law firm with locations in the United States (New York, Austin, and Honolulu) and Switzerland. We specialize in corporate law, international tax law, probate, trusts and estate litigation, corporate dissolutions, and general civil & business litigation.
For our New York office, we are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal.
Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Organize and manage case files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all documents, evidence, and correspondence are properly filed and maintained.
- Client Communication: Engage with clients to gather information and provide case updates.
- Discovery Support: Facilitate the discovery process by drafting and responding to requests for documents and other tasks.
- Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with the JEFS and NYSCEF courts, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and local court rules.
- Trial Preparation: Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and supporting attorneys during proceedings.
- Communication with Opposing Counsel: Correspond with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to exchange information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Certificate of paralegal studies.
- At least 3-5 years' experience as a trial / litigation paralegal.
- Strong attention to details and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Able to monitor a case load independently.
- Handle evolving priorities in a dynamic environment in a thoughtful and practical manner.
- Flexible and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to build effective business partnerships.
- Familiarity with legal case management software.
- Good command of IT tools (MS Office, Zoom).
Authorized to work in the United States.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
