The Dermstore team is looking for a strategic and data-driven Social Media Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team.
This critical role will help position drive brand health metrics and social growth and engagement by positioning Dermstore as a leader in skin health education through a social first approach to content. With a vast knowledge of all social platforms, you'll lead the day-to-day strategic planning, production, execution and community management across all owned social channels.
The ideal candidate is a social native who is passionate about developing engaging and informative social media content specific to each platform to drive growth. You will have proven experience in social media storytelling and content production. We are seeking someone with proven social media & community management skills, attention to detail and who is passionate about all things social & beauty-related. You will also understand the role of data and reporting in content, along with managing and reaching set KPIs and budgets.

As a Social Media Marketing Manager, you'll:
- Own social media strategy. Use relevant data to ideate and pitch content for platform-specific execution that strengthens Dermstore’s brand DNA and drives engagement, conversation, and loyalty
- Own and populate the social calendar to build brand equity, educate, and translate promotional moments and marketing objectives into compelling, on-brand, social first content ideas
- Oversee social content production, focusing on user engagement and driving growth; Create and brief photo, video or graphic content as-needed for social posts or stories to supplement assets delivered by creative team
- Support development of copy for all posts across all social media platforms
- Partner with the integrated marketing and buying teams to ensure content is aligned to campaign and product priorities and brand storytelling
- Engage with brands and influencers on social content creation and integrated campaigns
- Monitor customer sentiment and collaborate with internal teams to optimize consumer experience
- Measure performance success and KPIs to create weekly reports and post-mortem recaps that show content effectiveness while informing ongoing social strategy
- Consistently monitor the competitive landscape and best practices to stay ahead of social media trends while exploring new content opportunities
- Help manage and empower 2 junior team members, providing mentoring and timely feedback to ensure accountability
- 6 years experience in marketing, preferably in beauty and/or retail
- A deep understanding of winning content within the social media landscape and ability to create engaging social content
- Must be an expert in in-app social features with a strategic approach on how to best utilize them
- Experience setting targets and managing and achieving set KPIs
- Thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment without losing sight of the customer experience
- Ability to quickly pull together and analyze data to share strategic recommendation
- Highly organized with ability to project manage and execute large campaigns/projects from start to finish
- Experience with content creators, graphic design, and video editing is a plus
- Salary: $105,000 - $115,000
- Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in-office; 2 day WFH
