SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter/Space Planner to join our team. This role plays a critical part in transforming client requirements into actionable floorplans and layouts that bring their vision to life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs, a passion for space planning, and a keen eye for detail.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Collaborate with sales, design, and project teams to develop detailed 2D and 3D space plans and layouts.
- Create accurate, professional floorplans, furniture plans, and installation drawings.
- Interpret and apply client requirements, building codes, and industry standards to ensure functional and compliant designs.
- Work closely with manufacturers and vendors to incorporate specific furniture products and specifications into layouts.
- Review and refine designs to maximize space utilization, efficiency, and aesthetics.
- Coordinate with project managers and installation teams to ensure seamless implementation of layouts.
- Maintain an organized library of templates, symbols, and standard drawings.
- Adapt to revisions and updates as client needs or project scope changes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in space planning, furniture layouts, or related fields.
- Familiarity with contract furniture, including manufacturers, specifications, and standards, is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and floorplans.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, 2020 Worksheet, Giza or other 3D rendering software is a bonus.
