JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Manager is responsible for overall day-to-day management of the radiology department. This role ensures proper staffing, patient safety, and proper reporting occur at all times. The Radiology managers also works with the Director of Diagnostics/Operations to address patient concerns in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for selection, training, department orientation, development, and performance evaluation of all radiology team employees.
2. Ensures a safe and pleasant patient experience in all areas of radiology
3. Ensures the radiology team performs proper exam, utilizes the proper systems to maintain accurate patient records, reporting, and monitoring.
4. Ensure appropriate number of staff are scheduled to support patient and provider needs.
5. Serve as a subject matter expert for all faucets of radiology.
6. Continuously monitor and evaluate radiology processes for improvements to patient experience and employee satisfaction.

2. Knowledge of healthcare supplies, logistics, and storage guidelines.
3. Knowledge of HIPAA and other related privacy rules.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree in Radiology, or a related field, required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in radiology required. A minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience required. CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist required, as well as ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, NMT - Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

- Stand 55% or longer of an 8-hour workday.
- Walk 35% of an 8-hour workday.

- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Requires employee to: Bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level occasionally.
