About The Position
The Database Specialist is a key member of Thinkery's Guest Services team and is responsible for assisting with management of Thinkery's database, Tessitura. This individual reports to the Guest Services Manager and will work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure the impact of Thinkery's CRM/database and data health. The Database Specialist is responsible for accuracy, efficiency, and retrieval of database records in Thinkery's CRM impacting Guest Services, Advancement, STEAM Learning Institute, and business operations.

About The Position

The Database Specialist is responsible for accuracy, efficiency, and retrieval of database records in Thinkery's CRM impacting Guest Services, Advancement, STEAM Learning Institute, and business operations.
Essential Functions
- Create and ensure readiness of all tickets for museum general admission, programs, camps, special events, and other ticketed experiences across our locations.
- Remain available and on-call during scheduled work hours to assist Guest Services team members with Tessitura, ticketing, and the database. Monitor day-to-day usage of database system.
- Troubleshoot the database system to identify errors and provide fixes or coordinate with IT / Tessitura Support partners for elevated issues.
- Provide technical assistance and support for database systems, including addressing database related queries from staff and customers.
- Work across teams to develop technical solutions for problems related to database system and processes.
- Support the People team in the development of training programs for staff on the usage of the database system.
- Perform regular data auditing to maintain integrity of the database for accuracy and efficiency.
- Configure and pull data reports for key metrics at regularly scheduled intervals such as weekly, monthly, quarterly.
- Maintain user access and permission levels for database segments.
- Evaluate organizational database systems and recommend process improvements.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing one-off reports, meeting minutes and other project files.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficiency with the customer relationship management (CRM) system Tessitura, or 2 years of experience with another major CRM fundraising database and major ticketing database, including data maintenance, reports and analysis, and data configuration
- Experience with and general working knowledge of HTML and SQL
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat in a Windows environment
- Experience with project management processes (i.e. Scrum, Agile) and tools, such as Monday
- Proficiency in collaboration and communication across multiple departments, projects, and stakeholders
- This is an in-person role, and Thinkery is open 7 days a week, and often on holidays. This role will have expectations of working weekends and holidays.
- Periodic duties outside of the regular schedule may be required during high-volume guest attendance times or systems emergencies and support during ticketed events, including General Admission hours or evening and weekend special events.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years’ experience on an operations team
- 2 years’ experience working with Tessitura or other similar databases or CRMs
- College credit, bootcamp courses, or related training in computer science, information systems, coding or related fields
- Customer service experience preferred
