Thinking Minds Inc.'s client is seeking a Cloud Engineer to lead technical delivery in a WAN/LAN transformation initiative leveraging a Telco-based approach. This role focuses on designing and implementing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, ensuring network stability, reliability, and interoperability while utilizing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies such as GitOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain hybrid multi-cloud environments to support highly scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Match customer requirements with advanced capabilities in the VNF/CNF (Virtual Network Functions/Container Network Functions) space.
- Implement end-to-end service-oriented solutions that integrate distributed COTS and open-source applications.
- Build prototypes to evaluate various architectures, balancing trade-offs to recommend optimal solutions.
- Document cloud environments, including architecture designs, CI/CD pipelines, cost considerations, and testing procedures.
- Facilitate secure integration between external cloud systems and on-premise networks, aligning with WAN/LAN transformation efforts.
- Collaborate on Agile-driven DevSecOps processes to automate and enhance delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 8 years of related experience, including expertise in Telco environments, hybrid/multi-cloud solutions, and containerization platforms.
- Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Demonstrated ability to design secure systems compliant with DoD authorization processes.
- Familiarity with public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Ability to navigate challenging security and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure, VMWare, or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies and applying DevSecOps principles.
