This role involves designing, planning, and managing projects while also engaging in client relations, team leadership, and potential office management opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, funding, and design efforts for municipal water, wastewater, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and delivery plans.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, design drawings, and specifications.
- Oversee construction management, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in public meetings and present project findings to stakeholders.
- Assist in business development, building strong client relationships, and identifying new project opportunities.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon and/or Washington (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of funding, bidding, and permitting processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, subconsultants, and team members.
- Valid driver's license for site visits and client meetings.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Experience in project and personnel management.
- Ability to develop work agreements, task orders, and planning documents.
- Proven ability to build long-term client relationships.
