This role will require a technical leader capable of system design, implementation, and optimization in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify system requirements for advanced wireless communication systems.
- Develop, simulate, implement, and test algorithms for wireless communication.
- Simulate, benchmark, and validate system performance using advanced tools like MATLAB.
- Collaborate with FPGA and software development teams to implement and troubleshoot hardware/software solutions.
- Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams for feature and product development, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Design, test, and troubleshoot systems in both lab and field environments.
- Create detailed technical documentation and presentation materials.
- Contribute to business development and innovation strategies by brainstorming future product enhancements.
- Support customer interactions, testing, and demonstration events as needed (occasional travel required).
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Wireless Communications or Signal Processing.
- At least 4 years of wireless system design and development experience (2 years with PhD).
- Expertise in digital communication systems: RF subsystems, synchronization, channel coding, and channel estimation.
- Deep understanding of RF propagation and channel modeling.
- Strong knowledge of MIMO, OFDM, and signal processing algorithms.
- Experience mitigating RF impairments like A phase noise, and clock offset.
- Proficiency in MATLAB for programming and system simulation.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with wireless mobile ad-hoc networking, medium access, and routing algorithms.
- Knowledge of cognitive radio, interference mitigation, and RF sensing.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
