Asset Liability Analyst
The Asset-Liability Analyst will hold primary ownership of interest rate risk behavioral modeling while also contributing to the ongoing monitoring and reporting of key financial metrics. A successful candidate will have a passion to pursue and connect economic and financial market conditions into our consumer and portfolio performance measurements. The position will offer an opportunity to obtain extensive knowledge across multiple financial disciplines through active engagement with multiple departments (Finance, Accounting and Risk) coupled with the hands-on efforts within our modeling framework.
Role Responsibilities:
- Model ownership of our behavioral assumptions within our Interest Rate Risk framework
- Lead support for code maintenance and enhancements within department
- Support key financial risk assessments around Interest Rate Risk and Credit Risk
- Own key components of monthly and quarterly analytical processes
- Create and maintain reporting on various financial components of the bank
- Lead projects to enhance reporting capacity and process efficiencies
- Create checks and balances within processes as well as audit trails
- Participate in special projects and analyses
- Cross-train on a variety of departmental tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Coding experience (any language, any level)
- Strong aptitude and passion for financial markets
- Prior experience dealing with models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing needs of the business
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a group environment
- Attention to accuracy and detail is essential
- A positive, pro-active attitude and desire to cross-train and mentor others
