SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, the Information Specialist I provides essential communication and clerical support within the Court, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. This role involves informing the public, scheduling court proceedings, managing case information, and performing related duties requiring knowledge of court processes, customer service skills, and discretion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responds to inquiries from the public, attorneys, and other agencies regarding court information and procedures.
• Coordinates the scheduling of court proceedings and maintains court calendars for each assigned judge.
• Audits cases for necessary information.
• Directs parties to courtrooms and provides counter service.
• Disseminates information regarding Court policies and procedures to public at counter.
• Assigns and notifies House Counsel of proceedings
• Tests case management systems and reports issues.
• Records information in court files and generates court documents.
• Updates account information, including arrearage calculations.
• Enters and updates data in court computer systems.
• Initiates inquiries to appropriate departments.
• Maintains daily statistical data.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Licenses and Certifications:
• High School graduation or its equivalent.
• Two (2) years of clerical experience.
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and relevant software and systems.
• Experience commensurate with the job that demonstrates the required skills and competencies may be considered in lieu of education requirement(s).
