Third Lens Ministries is seeking candidates to fill ongoing internship positions. This position allows you to expand our brand through many different platforms and incredible travel opportunities (if interested). This internship is ideal for skilled photographers who are looking to learn and be challenged by a highly creative work environment while building their portfolio.
Third Lens (www.third-lens.org and @third_lens on Instagram) is a community of architects, engineers, planners, real estate, and construction professionals who use their talents for eternal purposes. Our vision is to change the model of construction in the nonprofit world. We take on the burden of construction so our partners can stay on mission and grow their outreach. Third Lens provides comprehensive management services for the planning, design, and construction of building projects.
The ministry specializes in projects with medical, human trafficking, orphan care and educational components. Third Lens was founded in 2009 as a 501(c)3, non-profit with offices in Atlanta, GA, and Auburn, AL.
Candidates should be full of creative ideas and eager to contribute on a large scale. The Photography Student Internship position is designed for students and graduates of fine arts programs to apply their passion and training to serve in global missions. This internship provides a unique opportunity for these graduates to work in a nonprofit and ministry setting.
Specifications
• Location: Auburn, AL, with travel opportunities
• Availability: Immediately/Summer 2025
• Duration: Semester-to-semester with the opportunity to study abroad in the second semester.
• Hours: Minimum 8 hours per week (flexible around class schedule)
Qualifications
• Majors: Videography, Cinematography, Film, or related field
• Education Level: Current enrollment in a related bachelor's or master's program
• Credit: Will work with the intern to provide academic credit, if applicable.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
• Document important events as needed (project/site visits, grand openings, project completions, partner stories, social events, board meetings, staff/board retreats, etc.)
• Ability to work on larger projects highlighting partners and trips is a plus
• Perform post-production activities including editing and formatting as needed
• Edit footage to utilize for Third Lens marketing materials
• Assist Marketing and Public Relations teams as needed.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other related software. Access to this program on a personal laptop is ideal.
Job Requirements
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to define and work to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.
• Proficient with digital/film cameras. Personal equipment is ideal.
• Access to a personal computer or laptop and design software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm for the design process and attentiveness to different project goals.
