Job Overview: Third Party International (TPI), a leader in supply chain consulting services for Aerospace suppliers, is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Aerospace Buyer to join our team as a Contract Consultant. The Purchasing Specialist will play a critical role in acquiring goods and services, ensuring top quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery. This role is essential in managing relationships with suppliers while supporting TPI’s clients through a high level of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing & Selection: Identify and recommend top suppliers based on quality, capability, capacity, and pricing. Develop bidder lists and issue formal requests for quotations or proposals.
- Contract & Price Negotiation: Negotiate terms, including pricing, delivery, and payment schedules, to ensure that customer requirements are met. Use various strategies depending on competitive, single, or sole source situations.
- Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier capabilities, and monitor performance to ensure adherence to contract terms. Resolve supplier performance issues related to delivery or quality.
- Process Improvement: Apply continuous improvement methodologies to internal processes and supplier systems to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Contract Administration: Manage procurement contracts from negotiation through completion, including handling disputes, quality discrepancies, and contractual adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Certification in Purchasing Management (CPM) or APICS is preferred.
- Experience: 6 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, ideally in highly technical fields such as aerospace or medical. Preference will also be given to candidates that have worked with a high mix of parts and have an aerospace or medical device background.
- Skills: Expertise in supplier risk management, MRP systems, and proficiency in blueprint and drawing reading. Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills are a must.
- Technical Acumen: Experience with purchasing systems such as EDI or MRP is highly desired. Experience with technical industries is a plus.
