Position: Production Finish Shift Line Lead
Reports To: Production Manager
Back-up: Production Manager & Line Staff
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Third Street Inc, a chai and iced tea manufacturer located in beautiful Louisville Colorado is hiring a Production Line Lead to oversee the bottling activities of our small-batch manufacturing plant. They will function as the champion for all activities to complete the day’s work and those activities to prepare for the next day’s work.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Operate multiple stations on bottling line (bottle loading, capping, labeling & coding, case packing, palletizing, etc.)
- Coordinate line operators to ensure coverage of all stations on bottling line.
- Rotate staff breaks and lunches when needed.
- Assist with running production shifts and serve as back up to production supervisor as needed.
- Complete beginning and end of shift activities, such as but not limited to setting up the equipment, completing production, cleaning, change overs, and paperwork.
- Train temporary staff on safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety requirements, production equipment, tasks, relevant procedures, and use of the time clock.
- Enforce and model all company policies.
- Consistently adhere to and display required safety behaviors and guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and Food Safety standards
- Support the execution and implementation of Food Safety programs.
- Independently maintain and troubleshoot all bottling line equipment to required specifications and recommendations, as needed and on a preventive basis.
- Lead timely and accurate line changeovers, cleaning & sanitation of equipment to coincide with needs of production schedule.
- Complete documentation related to manufacturing process (includes but not limited to bottling & batching records, CIP records, Sanitation documents, etc.)
- Participate in monthly inventory physical counts – liaison with accounting to resolve discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work on site 6:45am to 4pm Monday-Friday and overtime as needed.
- 2 yrs experience in a food production environment
- 2 yrs experience in personnel management
- Previous experience running & maintaining a bottling & brewing line preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude & hands-on ability to facilitate repair of breakdowns and source needed parts.
- High school completion or GED required.
- Solid organizational & communication skills
- Must have ability to multi-task and manage several people at the same time.
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team.
- Must have ability to obtain forklift and HACCP certification.
- Must have ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Proficiency in Spanish desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
