Description
The EARSS Grant Program Coordinator is part of a multidisciplinary team, providing educational services to students attending Third Way Center Joan Farley Academy and Joan Farley Academy - Lowry. The EARSS Grant Program Coordinator shall perform all responsibilities in a manner that is reflective of the mission and philosophy of Third Way Center. The EARSS Grant Program Coordinator shall be sensitive to the cultural differences among the children, their families and the Third Way Center Staff and respond appropriately to these differences.
At Third Way Center we take on many roles with our clientele. Empowerment and advocacy are critical in working with youth. It is essential we understand cultural diversity within the milieu, and are willing to learn new skills and attend in-service training as needed. We are committed to respecting the dignity of persons served, to understand and enhance the opportunity for normalization and self determination, and to improving our youth’s ability in exercising healthy personal choices.
FTE: .40 (16 hours/week)
January 2023 - June 2027 (based on a 4 year grant and 6 mos. planning period) - possible continuation after this time frame based on additional grant funding
ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS:
● Understand and adhere to the goals and objectives of the EARSS grant
● Find and connect with community partners to provide programs or experiences in alignment with the grant purpose, goals and outcomes
● Coordinate and schedule community partners to provide either in-school classes and/or activities as well as community experiences for student engagement
● Includes internships, apprenticeship, courses for credit and vocational programs
● Collaborate with school personnel in both schools for on-going program implementation and evaluation
● Data team member for collection of, analysis and interpretation of data supporting EARSS grant performance measures
○ Required reporting and paperwork for grant
● Attend any TWC EARSS grant team meetings, cohort meetings and related conferences as appropriate
Qualifications
Qualifications:
● Detail oriented, organized and strong record keeping skills
● Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
● Computer use skills
The candidate must also possess a current valid Colorado driver's license, have a clean driving record (no DUI/DWAI in the last five years) and criminal record, be at least 22 years of age and obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Candidate must be vaccinated for COVID-19 as terms of employment
