Description

As an Attraction Technician, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining technical assets across
multiple themed attractions. We are looking for someone who can collaborate with a creative team to develop and
execute new technical projects as well as troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our existing animatronic characters and
special effects equipment. This role will assist the Technical Director with projects and initiatives throughout the year
and will support our seasonal events during setup, teardown, and operation.
To be successful in this role, you should be a creative problem solver with solid time management skills. We are looking
for someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to challenges as they arise in real time. The
Attraction Technician will report to the Technical Director and work side by side with our Los Angeles based production
team to ensure our guests enjoy the best experience we can provide.

Qualifications


Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Projects and Maintenance:
Design and fabricate animatronic characters and special effects that will become an integral part of our
attractions.
Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance to keep existing equipment and effects
in optimal working condition.
Ensure the safe operation of all technical systems and effects, adhering to relevant safety guidelines and
regulations.
2. Operations:
Assist with setup and teardown of our seasonal attractions ensuring that lighting, audio, electric, and
pneumatic systems and effects are installed properly and operating correctly.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure that our attractions run smoothly throughout the
Halloween season.
Make as-needed repairs to any technical assets to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in technical theater, special effects, or related fields, preferably in a themed attraction
environment.
Familiarity with special effects technologies such as pneumatics and electrical systems, micro-controllers, and
sensors.
Knowledge of audio, lighting, and video equipment, including operation and basic troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work creatively within thematic constraints to deliver compelling
results.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative
production environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to evolving creative and operational needs.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by production schedules and event operations.
Must pass company background check, have reliable transportation, and live in the Los Angeles area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with welding and metal working.
Experience with addressable LED technology.
