POSITION TITLE: Director of Administrative Services
MINIMUM ANNUAL SALARY: $96,557.06

SUMMARY: This senior-level position leads Human Resources, Financial and Accounting team members with a primary
responsibility of overseeing the essential administrative functions of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Ensures the effective
delivery of services by analyzing operating procedures and systems. Establishes performance measures and a means to
ensure that goals are met.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- EXPERIENCE: 6 years of related professional work experience, including 5 years in a supervisory capacity. A

- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, court administration, business
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Directs and oversees human resources operations, such as the recruitment, interview and selection process;
background/reference checks. Makes recommendations for human resources related changes.
- Directs and oversees finance and accounting operations, to include the processing of invoices, purchasing card
the processing of purchase orders for goods and services.
- Directs and supervises staff, including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning and evaluating
employee performance evaluations; reviews and approves timesheets and leave requests.
- Works with Executive Team to develop and implement short and long range plans that support administrative
goals.
- Develops policies and procedures in consultation with Executive Team to ensure efficient and economical
- Conducts or coordinates investigations of issues pertaining to harassment, discrimination, performance issues, and
employment matters and litigation.
- Serves as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator; conducts or coordinates training on personnel
- Interfaces with Hillsborough County and Florida State Court System human resources, financial and purchasing
- Oversees various administrative matters, such as conducting research studies and projects, reports or
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to collaboratively exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and
- Experience in managing, training, mentoring staff, and overseeing staff performance and work product, to include
- Ability to plan work efficiently; establish and maintain effective working relationships with governmental and
the staff and contractors, develop and apply policy; evaluate issues and provide recommendations,
monitor/delegate responsibility; make decisions and draw conclusions.
