Job Responsibilities
As the Associate Director, FP&A – Resort Ops Business, you will lead all financial planning and analysis responsibilities for Resort Operations businesses at Marina Bay Sands (MBS). The portfolio includes Hotel, F&B, Convention Services, Mall, Entertainment, Attractions, Transportation, Spa & Fitness Center, Floral, Laundry, Call Center, Infinity Pool.
This role requires you to actively engage with and provide supporting analyses to the business units on a regular basis; conduct operational and financial reviews for major department stakeholders and Management; analyze variances and impact on P&L with comparisons of performance against budget and forecast; and more importantly highlight key trends in business performance to drive profitability and overall performance. Lead the Annual Budget process for all Resort Operations businesses and ensure business trends and objectives are aligned across all areas. Ensure accurate and timely submission of corporate deliverables relating to Resort Operations businesses. Consult with General Ledger and Revenue Audit teams to align financial accounting and reporting. Work closely with Gaming FP&A to ensure alignment between Gaming and Non-Gaming businesses. Review of ROI metrics for capex projects and liaise with Development Finance on ROI projections for new projects. The role also supervises the F&B Analytics team, who support F&B management and business leads in monitoring day-to-day business performance; support operations with forecasting, P&L and capex matters; deliver ad hoc analysis to support decision making.
Both individually and as part of a team, you will lead projects that help form the foundation of our corporate strategy. You will be counted on to utilize your skills in budgeting, forecasting, reporting business performance, data modeling, and process improvement to provide insightful analyses and deliver actionable results that propel the businesses towards greater efficiency and overall profitability.
As Associate Director, FP&A – Resort Ops Business, you will report to the Director-Business Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis and work closely with other leaders within FP&A Finance to align budget, forecasting, reporting, and capex related matters.
Job Requirements
- University education, degree in accounting, business, or economics and / or MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years’ progressive experience in large global multinational companies; Hospitality and Gaming industry experience would be highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong people skills including ability to interact effectively with senior management with excellent English communication skills.
- Solid experience managing teams of people, with a proven track record in providing leadership in accounting and business process improvement.
- Exposure to software packages such as Infinium, Power BI, IBM Planning & Analytics is preferred. Proficiency in Cognos is highly preferred.
