THK Law is a small law firm with primary practice area in corporate, real estate, civil litigation, estate planning, administration of estates, and elder law. The firm is seeking a part-time business development manager with strong leadership skills to direct the firm’s business development efforts, which includes individual attorney business planning, community engagement, event planning, and managing the website and social media platforms.
THK is a unique firm that has a strong commitment to work-life balance, professional development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The firm works on a hybrid basis, but this position is expected to spend concentrated time in the South Bend office the first six months to collaborate with the THK team.
Essential Job Duties, Skills, Abilities, and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Develops and oversees a firmwide marketing plan.
- Develops and oversees all aspects of internal and external events including annual open house, mixers, workshops, seminars, community events, training programs, holiday events, and volunteer events.
- Collaborates with attorneys to develop, execute, and leverage individual marketing plans.
- Utilizes extensive knowledge of the community to develop and execute new opportunities for the firm.
- Coordinates and distributes press releases, social media posts, and newsletters.
- Coordinates and publishes attorney newsletters, legal email updates, and blogs.
- Creates and edits PowerPoint presentations for workshops and seminars.
- Develops, orders, and manages all marketing items for the firm, including business cards, swag, and sponsorship materials.
- Manages and updates client, potential client, and referral databases.
- Develops and manages annual marketing budget and tracks all expenditures.
- Responsible for all awards and legal directory participations, including monitoring necessary renewals, maintaining industry awards, and submitting necessary materials.
- Oversees all sponsorships and awards, including preparing applications, creating ads in Canva, and collaborating with external organizations to maximize opportunities.
- Coordinates website updates and attorney bio updates.
· Attends local business events, webinars, and workshops on behalf of the firm and shares insights with key stakeholders.
· Offers ideas and works as part of the team.
· Actively listens.
· Contributes to the strategic efforts of the firm.
· Willing to support other areas of the firm’s work as needed.
· Effectively manages and prioritizes many matters at a time.
