MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receiving inspection of raw materials from vendors.
· Collection and analysis of SPC data to meet in-house and customer requirements.
· Interpretation of in-house and customer engineering drawings for dimensional inspection including formal report preparation of results.
· Use of variable gauges and attribute gauges including interpretation of Vernier and analog measuring scales.
· Conduct measuring system studies as required (including gauge repeatability and reproducibility).
· Understand and follow Control of Nonconforming product procedure.
· Support in-house and customer location sorting.
· Conduct first piece testing including weld integrity and ball surface condition.
· Conduct engineering test setup and performance as required by customer.
· Develop and document testing instructions for product testing.
· Training of production personnel on measuring instrument function and technique.
· Support production as directed by supervisor or other management
· Use of gauge control software for gauge tracking and calibration recall.
· In-house calibration of various attribute and variable gauges.
