Job Overview:Thom Sweeney is seeking an experienced Tailoring Specialist to join our New York Flagship Store team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Made to Measure (MTM) tailoring, with knowledge of Bespoke tailoring being a significant advantage. The role involves working closely with clients to ensure a perfect fit and exceptional customer experience, reflecting the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and elegance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and fitting services for Made to Measure clients, ensuring precision and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough measurements and garment fittings, making precise adjustments as required.
- Work collaboratively with the tailoring team to communicate adjustments to external workshops and ensure high-quality execution.
- Offer insights and recommendations on fabric choices, styling options, and fit to clients.
- Assist in the delivery and final fitting of garments, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Thom Sweeney’s tailoring techniques, styles, and seasonal collections.
- Build lasting relationships with clients, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
- Support store operations, including stock management and maintaining the presentation of the tailoring department.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Made to Measure tailoring, with bespoke experience being a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, alterations, and luxury fabrics.
- Ability to take precise measurements and make informed tailoring recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service.
- Experience working in a luxury retail or tailoring environment preferred.
