CONSTRUCTION JOBSITE FOREMAN
Thomas Construction is looking for a qualified full-time Assistant Superintendent. We are an aggressively growing company and are looking for a team player with ambition, leadership, and good communication skills. The Assistant Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects by overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the architect and consultants on field and constructability issues. This position reports to the Project Superintendent.
Location: Springfield MO
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Assist Superintendent with managing job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
· Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
· Work collaboratively with Project Manager, project team members, and field.
· Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office, and files.
· Performing construction duty tasks such as carpentry, service work, and punch lists.
· Represent Thomas Construction in a professional manner.
Core Competencies
· Experience: must have 5 years experience in commercial construction/ Forklift certified is preferred.
· Education: A background with higher education is preferred.
· Organization: Utilizes strong organizational skills.
· Communication: Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
· Problem Solving: Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs.
· Interpersonal Skills: Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed
interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
