Job Specific Duties
- Greet customers warmly and create a friendly atmosphere.
- Prepare food items for grab-n-go such as salads, desserts, sandwiches etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the counter, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Answer customer questions and provide information about menu items.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Identifies customer needs and refers to appropriate department for follow-up when necessary.
- Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing grab-and-go items, maintaining supplies, and stocking cooler items.
- Stocking refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.
- Maintain grab n go area by replenishing and rotating items.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing general work areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and throwing trash.
- Prepare and gather items needed for meal service to expedite food orders during lunch.
- Have the ability to help out other stations when needed.
- Provides exceptional service to all guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to write notes and brief instructions using correct spelling and grammar
- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service
- Speak clearly and present information orally
- Ability to speak, read, understand and write English
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to learn to operate equipment perform a variety of repetitive tasks
- Ability to perform a variety of repetitive tasks such as working expo at lunch service
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparations and serving
- High school diploma or GED. Six (6) months previous experience working with the public in a customer service role.
- barista experience, experience with fast food service, any prep work, or any food handling experience. Experience working in kitchens of facilities or institutions that provide meals to large groups of people daily. This position works in multiple areas and stations such as prepping for grab-and-go items for coolers and then expediting food for lunch service.
