Position Summary

The Banquet Server works with the FOH team to provide great guest experiences for our group dining and banquet meals. We currently have part-time openings for servers for any shift working during the day, evenings, and weekends. Potential earnings for this position is $19 to $29 per hour based on projected employee earnings but not guaranteed. The Banquet Server sets up assigned tables, retrieves and serves food and beverage orders to guest tables according to group requirements, courteously and efficiently for Plain & Fancy Restaurant (above Smokehouse BBQ and Brews, for group dining only). This is a tipped position with cash tips paid out at end of shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve guests with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner
• Provide timely, friendly table service throughout the meal
• Maintain knowledge of food an beverage preparation and ingredients
• Set dining areas to preset standards
• Communicate with kitchen staff to keep them informed of timing and meal progression
• Maintain neat, clean and safe server station work area, and dining room seating area
• Use job aids and training materials to execute consistent steps of service
• Display knowledge of best practices for safe alcohol service
• Perform other duties as directed

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
• State alcohol server license and food handler’s preferred
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to make change
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Multi-task oriented
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Time management
