Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer / Learning & Development Specialist to create and deliver effective, engaging, and scalable training programs. This role will focus on orienting new employees through structured training bootcamps and developing innovative learning solutions using instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE and SAM. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning, stays current with instructional technologies and AI, and can collaborate cross-functionally to drive impactful training experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead new employee training bootcamps to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Utilize instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create structured learning experiences.
- Design and deliver training programs in multiple formats, including instructor-led sessions, virtual training,
- Oversee the development of engaging and interactive learning solutions, including e-learning modules, job aids, multimedia assets, and instructional materials.
- Conduct training assessments and gather feedback from stakeholders to measure and improve program effectiveness.
- Stay updated with learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and AI-driven technologies to enhance training programs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization to design and refine learning content.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in instructional design and learning development, with a strong understanding of ADDIE and SAM methodologies.
- Proficiency in LMS platforms and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar).
Experience in designing and delivering training in diverse formats (e-learning, instructor-led, virtual, blended learning). - Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Knowledge of AI applications in learning & development is a plus.
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HealthStream L&D software is a plus but not required.
