Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Fit: Measure, design, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for patients based on optical prescriptions.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, assisting patients in selecting frames and ensuring the perfect fit for their eyewear.
- Precision & Accuracy: Prepare work orders for optical labs, verify the exactness of finished lenses, and make necessary adjustments.
- Eyewear Management: Manage eyewear orders, perform quality inspections, and maintain inventory levels.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care, and provide follow-up services including adjustments and repairs.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage vendor accounts to ensure maximum discount potential and timely delivery of orders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with prescribing providers, assist in training new personnel, and supervise employees at your location.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licensing: ABO and Georgia Licensed Dispensing Optician certification strongly preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in an eyeglass dispensary, with the ability to operate lensometers and other optical equipment.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with EMR systems - Compulink experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to read a manual lensometer, perform quality checks on eyewear including neutralizing prescriptions, transposing if needed, and troubleshooting any patient issues that may arise from an eyeglass order.
- Familiarity with contact lens ordering & performing I&Rs.
