We are currently seeking a professional looking to take that next step in advancing their career path by accepting the engaging and fulfilling role as a Human Resources Generalist in our Tallahassee office location. In this highly trusted role, the Human Resource Generalist will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including leading the coordination of new hire orientation, assisting managers in hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and processes. The ideal candidate for this role will be extremely detail-oriented, organized, technology savvy, possess great verbal and written communications skills, and have excellent customer service skills.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.SHRM-CP a plus.Has a high level of understanding and proficiency with a variety of computer software applications utilized in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and communications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.The ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Excellent customer service skills.Be able to interact with and communicate with individuals at all levels within the firm.Be familiar with the use of all office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, faxes and scanners.Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing projects and assignments, and meet established priorities and firm deadlines.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and continuing education. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.Identifies training needs for business units.Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all team members; assists in development, improvement and implementation of department policies and procedures; including the Employee Handbook.Assist with performance evaluation process, set up and administration.Assist with compliance functions within the HR department.Assist with Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Supports regular auditing and secure record keeping practices.Assist with benefits administration to include enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, reviewing and preparing invoices for approval, and communicating benefit information to team members. Assists with Benefit reconciliation.Online administration of employee benefits in Benefit Advisor (Paycor).Performs other related duties as required and assigned; they may provide back-up support to other human resources department functions.Employee Benefits
