Reporting to the Lead Mechanic/Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and operating diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic mechanical equipment and vehicles. Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain, diagnose, repair, and operate diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic mechanical equipment and vehicles.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspections of mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and operational problems on all mechanical equipment.
- Complete work orders and assigned daily tasks, as well as proper documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diesel, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general automotive repair experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- CDL preferred.
- CPR, First Aid certification, OSHA 30, SSPC C-3 Worker Lead may be obtained prior to and/or upon employment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work productively in a variety of weather conditions.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Hold and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ensure departmental staff follow proper safety protocol.
- Observe all safety rules established for your protection and guidance.
- Use safety equipment and devices provided or required.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: Associates degree from an accredited college or university.
- Preferred: At least 2 years' experience in diesel, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general automotive repair.
