The Clinical Manager is responsible for the oversight of the team of clinicians who are part of both the PAT and Jefferson Perioperative Optimization Center program. Clinical initiatives and pathways along with QI/Safety projects lead this role into supporting the growth of the accessibility for the treatment pre-operative patients. . The manager supervises a team of clinical and non-clinical professionals to support the fiscal goals of the enterprise. Responsible for clinical care by functioning as a full scope of practice APC.Job Description
Serves as the clinical leader for the PAT/JPO Clinic
- Direct report for clinical supervision and management of patient navigators, APC’s and RN’s
- Alignment of clinical patient testing/anesthesia readiness via the JPO Clinic
- Harmonization of JPO APCs, nurses, and physicians to support and clinical standards of excellence
- Optimization of JPO APP’s clinical practice, billing, visit volumes, bottom line across Center
City/TJUH
- Organization of best practices for surgical patients as they are evaluated for anesthesia readiness
and OR preparedness
- Co-creation and design of JPO programming including billing, work ques, scheduling, budget
forecasting
- Provides expert clinical care to PAT and JPO surgical patients working to full scope of licensure
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
Experienced supervisor/ manager – steward leadership
Superior Inter-personal communication skills
Experienced working on multi-disciplinary teams
Education:
Masters degree in Nursing or master's in physician assistant studies.
Advanced Practice Clinician Certification.
At least 5 years of experience in patient care with surgical readiness clinics like PAT, patient testing, or perioperative optimization.
