The HIM Clerk III Special Studies role is responsible for organizing, retrieving, and replicating medical records in the context of special studies, regulatory inquiries, patient safety and performance improvement initiatives, regulatory audits, and appeals sections within Health Information Management.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for organizing, retrieving, and replicating medical records
- Analyze and evaluate list of requested records and reproduce medical records
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of clerical experience in a large academic medical center health information department or comparable setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
