About the Role
In this critical support role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of healthcare services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include processing arrival and departure activities, verifying insurance and referrals, and maintaining an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Process check-in and/or check-out, point of service activities, and scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC
- Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures
- Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate
- Greet and interact with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards
Education and Experience
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred
