What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner position at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health?
Under the general supervision of a Staff Physician, Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a member of the Surgical team providing patient services. The RNFA adheres to guidelines established by the Department of Surgery and Nursing Department.
- Meets Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria standards to make AMH the hospital of choice for patients and employees.
- Provides advanced clinical support to Surgeons and RNFAs ensuring continuity of patient care.
- Engages in continuing education promoting professional growth.
- Participates in strategic planning and quality assurance activities to provide optimal safe patient care.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience
Requires 2 years of experience as a RNFA in surgery; robotic/laparoscopic experience preferred.
Education and Training
Requires RN, BSN degree.
License, Certification and Registration
Must be RN licensed in PA; RNFA certificate required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
