Job Description
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
- For New Jersey only: Graduate of an accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program with a minimum of 330 hours of instruction, encompassing training in the administration of intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
- For internal Einstein applicants only: Medical Assistant certification is not required if a current Einstein employee in a Medical Assistant role with a hire date prior to July 1st, 2024.
- Experience in a physician office or other healthcare setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire. BLS through the American Red Cross may be acceptable at some Pennsylvania practice locations.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to your hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
