About The Internship
Thomas Park Investments (TPI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to work alongside the Analyst and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at our Annapolis, MD headquarters. This internship will provide hands-on experience in the commercial real estate industry, with exposure to acquisitions, financial analysis, investment strategy, and asset management.
Internship Dates: Flexible, aligning with academic schedules
Location: In person at our Annapolis office
Hours: 30-40 hrs a week depending on schedule.
Research & Analysis
Support the Analyst in financial modeling and valuation for potential acquisitions using Excel and Argus.
Conduct market research and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform investment decisions.
Assist in the maintenance and organization of the acquisitions database.
Due Diligence & Investment Support
Assist in coordinating property due diligence, including reviewing deliverables (e.g., PCA, Phase 1 ESA, Survey, Zoning).
Work with Analyst and CIO to review acquisition opportunities and assist in updating Excel and Argus models
Prepare investment committee presentations and memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with the CIO, Analyst, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.
Engage in strategic projects and problem-solving exercises in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Qualifications
Current college juniors or seniors, preferably with coursework in finance, real estate, economics, or accounting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn new software and modeling tools.
Interest in the commercial real estate industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
