Service Technician - Print Industry

Thomas Printworks is searching for a talented individual to work with our Houston team. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, fast learner with a 'can do', positive, and cheerful attitude to join a stable company. You must be efficient, capable of multitasking, and possess the ability to apply your experience and knowledge to new and changing situations. This position is responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of Thomas Printworks internal and customer equipment. This is a Service Technician position based out of our Houston, TX location.

Duties:

• Perform repairs on printing equipment such as plotters, inkjets, printers, and scanners.
• The majority of our printers are large format and are primarily manufactured by Canon (Plotwave) and HP (Pagewide and Design Jet).
• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment both internally and externally.
• Performs all duties and requirements outlined in service contracts.
• Complete service reports for internal and external billable service calls.
• Coordinates and assists with the delivery of equipment to customer locations.
• Keep equipment service certifications current.
• Attend equipment training as required by the manufacturer.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Provide outstanding customer service to clients.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

· Knowledge of office equipment repair and preventive maintenance

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Valid driver’s license

· Personal vehicle and required insurance coverage

· Clear driving record

· Computer proficiency and proficiency in several specific software packages

· Must have the ability to detect differences in colors and texture.

· Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.

· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling heavy objects up to 100 pounds with assistance.

*Some exposure to ink, chemicals, and paper used in printing operations
