What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Thompson Adult Foster Care Home?
Thompson Adult Foster Care Home is a residential based single-family home which cares for adult individuals with developmental disabilities. We have been operating in Linn County for 24 years and in that time have served many individuals with disabilities. We encourage a family-based professional facility and try to offer as much routine and security as possible to the individuals we care for. This includes making sure our employees feel like they are respected and made to feel like a part of our home.
Full Time
2:30pm-9pm

POSITION DETAILS
- General supervision and care
- Administering medications
- Assisting with daily needs- meal planning, house cleaning, and hygiene
- Assisting with activities in the community
- Assisting with physical care needs- encouraging nutrition and exercise
- Respecting the rights of all residents and other staff
- Assisting with required medical and progress documentation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years old
- Criminal history check
- Driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Lift of transfer greater than 50 lbs
- Pass first aid/cpr and foster home training within 30 days of hire
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
