Accountant

Thompson, Dreessen & Dorner, Inc. is a consulting engineering and surveying firm located in Omaha, NE. We provide civil and structural engineering services and land surveying services in the Omaha and surrounding areas. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are searching for an experienced accountant to join our team.

This position will be part of a team with responsibility for processing the bi-weekly payroll utilizing a third-party payroll processing firm, processing all accounts payable invoices and payments including all required underlying documents (W-9 forms, insurance certificates, etc.), preparing client billings, processing the daily cash receipts and making the daily deposit using a remote capture system and assisting with collection efforts of outstanding receivables. Typical other office duties including maintaining paper and digital filing systems, year-end form completion, employee benefit changes, report preparation, etc., are expected. Confidentiality is a must in this role. Serving as a backup to the receptionist for incoming telephone calls and client interactions will be required. Experience with accounting software systems is required. Experience with Deltek Ajera is a plus but not required. Payoll processing experience is required.
