Vice President of Sales
Thompson Fabrication is seeking a senior sales leader to develop a comprehensive commercial sales strategy. This position is critical to achieve the successful integration of the acquisitions we have planned. Your leadership will be an impactful resource in every part of our business, including strategy, product development, business development and sales, to include but not limited to the following.
· Management/ Recruitment of our sales force
· Marketing/ CRM/ E-Commerce/Web management
· National Accounts and Strategies
· Pricing, Price Book Management
· Parts & Compactor Sales
It is highly desirable that the sales leader possesses previous experience in capital equipment sales or service organizations where demonstrating the economic justification and value proposition for our products is what satisfies the customers’ objectives. Related experience in the waste industry is also desirable. The role demands a leader who is an energetic overachiever that can coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives while building and maintaining a high-performance team.
Objectives of this role
· Grow top line revenue exponentially.
· Hire, train, motivate, and advise sales representatives.
· Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts.
· Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading team members, and ensure that they are using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
· Call on national Accounts.
Responsibilities
· Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends the company’s reach.
· Meeting with potential clients and growing long-lasting relationships, sells our value.
· Ensure that company objectives will be achieved, managing data to stay on track, and delivering results.
Required skills and qualifications.
· Five or more years of experience in managing sales in an enterprise business.
· Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· Previous experience with Salesforce
· Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
· Proven success at double-digit sales growth
