Job Description: The selected candidate will work as a GFEBS Support Specialist supporting the U.S. Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) for the Directorate of Public Works at Ft Belvoir. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing financial system support and troubleshooting for multiple Army financial operations. The GFEBS Support Specialist will assist the Army financial team in developing system documentation, job aids, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with Army financial regulations and best practices, and achieving key milestones such as enhancing system efficiency, resolving transaction issues, and supporting end users with real-time assistance.
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time
Worksite details: Remote/Hybrid/Onsite - Location details and expected onsite frequency
Duties will include:
- Providing on-site and remote support for the Directorate of Public Works at Ft Belvoir, assisting with transaction processing and report generation.
- Developing, updating, and maintaining internal GFEBS Job Aids to serve as reference guides.
- Maintaining an internal help desk to address system-related inquiries and technical issues providing direct support to the customer on site.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system errors and data discrepancies between GFEBS and other DoD systems within 72 hours.
- Assisting in user role assignments and updates due to job changes, organizational shifts, or structural reorganizations.
- Supporting users in creating, processing, and tracking financial transactions, including help desk ticket submissions.
- Ensuring compliance with Army financial procedures and regulatory guidance.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred (significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Experience: In-depth knowledge of DPW process and requirements with a general understanding of Army accounting processes and legacy systems.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in financial systems, procurement, or DoD financial management are a plus.
- Security Clearance: Active [Security Clearance Level] preferred.

- Expertise in Plant Maintenance, Procurement, and Real Property modules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to format reports and analyze BI/ECC data for tracking financial operations.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
