Job Description: The Junior Financial System Analyst will work closely with their team lead to provide business process and financial system analyst support to the Military Health System. As a key member of Health Affairs Functional Champion, the Junior Financial Systems Analyst works locally with an onsite team based in Falls Church, VA area to support the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) sustainment, new initiatives and other tasks which include data collection and conversion, metrics, monitoring, reporting, and business requirements. They must have strong communication skills as they will manage data for up to 200 locations at a time and as such must be proficient in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance.
Job Duties:
- Experience in the financial execution of appropriated funds, including Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDT&E), Operation and Maintenance (OMA), and Procurement.
- Review and analysis of commitments, obligations, and disbursements of financial data for accuracy using GFEBS ERP and GFEBS BI functions.
- Experience with GFEBS financial execution.
- Review, analyze, and interpret various GFEBS financial documents and reports against established financial metrics.
- Provide support with research, analysis, and documentation to support special projects and tasks.
- Experience with direct and reimbursable orders to ensure they are accepted and executed appropriately.
- Ability to export, organize, analyze, and consolidate large volumes of financial data to create meaningful reports for leadership.
Qualified Candidates Must Have:
- Applicant MUST be U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret-level clearance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task/manage multiple priorities.
- Education plus experience at time of application:
- Bachelor's Degree; or
- Associate Degree and 4 or more years experience; or
- High School Diploma and 6 or more years experience
- Have a background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
- Financial Management experience in a Federal Government office.
- Have an understanding of Army financial business processes.
