The primary responsibilities of the Area Revenue Analyst will be to assist the Area Director of Revenue in analyzing and interpreting data to optimize revenue and profitability. This position will support Thompson Nashville and Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville. On a daily basis, the individual will monitor market trends, evaluate pricing strategies, and assess demand patterns to make informed recommendations on room rates and inventory management. Additionally, the analyst will prepare detailed reports and assist with forecasts to support decision-making processes and drive revenue growth. The main objective is to maximize the hotels’ revenue potential while maintaining competitive positioning in the market.
- Provide detailed analysis to support the Area Director of Revenue in developing competitive and effective strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Assist with the implementation of the hotels’ sales strategy by managing and coordinating pricing recommendations across multiple booking channels, including direct, third-party, and corporate segments.
- Regularly analyze the performance of deployed revenue strategies and tactics, identifying trends, and recommending adjustments to optimize outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate key distribution channels, ensuring optimal marketing exposure and revenue generation across platforms like OTAs, brand.com, and GDS.
- Assistance with rate loading.
- Leverage business intelligence tools and gather market insights to support revenue strategies and ensure the hotel remains competitive within the market.
- Create and maintain reports on key metrics such as RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy, offering actionable insights and forecasts for upcoming business periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Experience in hotel revenue management preferred
- Strong analytical skills along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with Opera, IDeaS G3, Reserve and/or SynXis preferred
- Understanding of business intelligence reports/tools such as Agency360, Demand360, STAR Report
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
