Skilled Laborer: Heavy Machine Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment
- Move, load, or unload materials
- Assist in light construction if necessary
- Perform general site clean-up – remove debris and trash from work site
- Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training
- Operates trucks of various sizes for loading, hauling, and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Operates construction and power equipment, including backhoes, man-lifts, dump trucks, snowplows, road graders, front-end loaders, hydraulic excavators, and skid steers.
- Uses small equipment and tools such as jackhammers, mowers, and brush chippers.
- Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
- Cleans and maintains equipment.
- Performs all duties in compliance with safety and security standards.
- Ability to work in both outside/ inside environmental and atmospheric conditions
- Ability to operate heavy equipment as needed
- Physical demands over 60 pounds
- Ability to work with the team to ensure grounds are picked up on a daily basis, that trash is removed daily, and that any additional jobs are communicated to Manager and Supervisor.
Pre-requisites:
- High school diploma/ GED equivalent required
- Must be team-oriented and have a strong work ethic
- Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift light to heavy objects

Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
