The Cat Rental Store Branch Manager I is responsible for all branch operations including equipment rental, sales, and service as well as parts sales. The Branch Manager is the team leader for the entire branch and is responsible for ensuring that customer needs are met at the highest level. The person in this role will support all personnel and build a culture of teamwork throughout the Company. Knowledge of the construction industry and the phases of construction are essential for this position. The ability to manage multiple priorities is vital. The Branch Manager will demonstrate initiative, resilience, attention to detail, sense of urgency, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.
- Create an environment that promotes teamwork
- Develop and meet annual business plan target for rental, sales, parts and service
- Promote Thompson Tractor Company products and services
- Hire, coach, and direct all branch employees
- Negotiate mutually agreeable settlements on customer complaints
- Establish and maintain personal working relationships with customers
- Develop and recommend incentive programs to enhance results
- Assist in collection of past due invoices
- Maintain a safe working environment while managing the appearance and maintenance of the parts counter, warehouse, shop, and service vehicles
- Effectively handle customer objections and concerns
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
