Position: Director of Human Resources
Job Summary:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for personnel functions including staffing, hiring, policy administration, and record-keeping for all certified and non-certified staff. Plans, coordinates, and supervises the operations of the human resource office. Participates in labor negotiations and relations, benefits administration,n and special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, School Administration, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or School Administration required.
- Hold a valid School Administrator certificate, preferred.
- A minimum of five years of successful experience in school administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage District staffing, including recommending assignments, transfers, dismissals, promotions, leaves of absence and tenure placements.
- Strategic planning and implementation of recruitment and selection for instructional and non-instructional staff.
- Verify/monitor personnel and contractor certification, licensing, and credentials to ensure legislative compliance.
- Handle investigations and employee discipline.
- Maintain adequate personnel records for the District.
- Participate and assist in planning the new employee orientation program.
- Develop guidelines and procedures for staff evaluations.
- Oversees mandatory online training for employees.
- Oversee the HR Department including issue resolution related to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, and other HR compliance areas.
- Responsible for District benefit administration, including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and coordinates annual open enrollments.
- Serves as the District Title IX Compliance Officer.
- Interfaces and consults with District legal counsel on employment matters and ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.
- Serves on the District’s Negotiating team in negotiating all collective bargaining agreements.
- Supervise and evaluate business services and human resources staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
