Position SummaryThornberry Creek at Oneida is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to provide high-quality beverage service in a fast-paced, fun, and friendly environment. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with guests, has strong knowledge of cocktails and beverages, and is committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with standard recipes and regulations.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized bar, ensuring all beverages and supplies are stocked.
- Follow all state and local alcohol service laws, including checking guest identification and practicing responsible service.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
- Assist with special events, tournaments, and private parties as needed.
- Monitor customer behavior and manage alcohol consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service operations.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines.
- Must be at least 18 years old (21 preferred) to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Previous bartending or restaurant service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, wine, and responsible beverage service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must have or be willing to obtain required alcohol service certification.
